My name is Anne Flade. I finished my apprenticeship in midwifery at Vivantes Klinikum Neukölln in Berlin in 2004. Afterwards I supported women in the delivery room of the hospital ELIM in Hamburg to give birth to their children. Since 2008 I have been working as a self employed midwife in Berlin Mitte, Pankow and Prenzlauer Berg. From 2018-2020 I studied “Salutophysiology” at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and completed my master’s thesis on one-to-one care for women giving birth. I take care of mothers to be and their families during pregnancy and together with them prepare for the birth. The heart of my work is the birth itself, whether at home or in a so called Geburtshaus/ birthplace. During the postpartum period I am there to support you until you are familiar with your new life.
Since April 2021 I have been working again in the Geburtshaus Maja. I only care for women who are planning an out-of-hospital birth and have statutory or private health insurance.
