During pregnancy women can be looked after during the whole prenatal period by a midwife. Midwives can take care of all examinations and blood screenings as described in the so called Mutterschaftsrichtlinien. Ultrasound screenings and treatment of severe pregnancy diseases will be taken care of by gynaecologists.
In our first meeting you will have plenty of time to talk about your wishes and expectations regarding my work. Together we will go through basic requirements for an out of hospital birth. For all following appointments during your pregnancy I will set aside about an hour to examine you, answer all questions and help with pregnancy discomfort. My goal is to provide advice with an open result and strive to find the best solution for you individually. In case of doubt I will counsel with other midwives or gynaecologists.
